Half a million YouTube views. I'll say that again, slowly, for the people at the back: Half. A. Million.
I'm fine. Totally calm. I've only checked the dashboards eleven times today.
If you're new here, chapter one is OMG… AiLF Is Actually Happening, written back in February when I'd hit 300k+ streams, 75 radio spins and 1K+ Shazams and genuinely thought that was the peak of my emotional range. Reader, it was not.
The numbers (the real ones)
Over on YouTube, my music has just sailed past half a million views: 536,614 views across my music channels (checked 22 October 2026, not that I'm counting… I am absolutely counting).
Then there's I Never Miss a Thing (V2), which has gone and got ideas above its station. That one song alone has had 124 radio plays: real stations, real presenters, playing it on purpose. And 1.4K Shazams, which is my favourite number of all, because every single one is somebody hearing it somewhere and going, "Ooh, what's this?" Somewhere, in a shop or a car or a kitchen, a stranger reached for their phone. I will never get over that.
[Susan: optional one short line about where you were when you saw the number]
How it actually gets made
For anyone wondering: no, a robot didn't just press a button and go for a lie-down. Every song still starts the old-fashioned way, with a lyric scribbled somewhere it shouldn't be and a feeling that won't leave me alone. AI is one of the tools in my studio. It helps me build sounds and flip a song from soul to country to something beautifully unhinged. But the words, the stories, the choices and the forty-seven versions I throw away? That's me. Human heart, AI soul, and an alarming amount of tea.
No label, no big budget, still doing it around real life. The washing still needs doing. Nobody has handed me a gold disc. I did, however, do a small, undignified dance in the kitchen.
Where to find it all
If you fancy a listen, the music lives here, along with the stories behind the songs. You'll also find me on Spotify and on YouTube, where the half a million views live.
And because I can't leave anything alone, the songs spilled onto the walls too. Lipstick, Wine & Friends started life as a song and turned into a whole collection of brutally honest sayings on museum-quality art paper, for the woman who's been through it and still turned up in lipstick. Have a nosy at the prints.
Thank you, you lot
To everyone who streamed, Shazamed, shared, added a song to a playlist or sang along badly in the car: you did this. I just wrote the songs and refreshed the stats far too often.
Next stop, the full half million. I'll bring the prosecco. 🥂
