ABOUT AiLF

AiLF makes original music for people who still want songs to make them feel something.

Love, loss, nostalgia, humour, hope and the usual complications - told through artists and songs that may be new, but can feel oddly familiar.

AiLF is an independent, AI-assisted music label founded by British songwriter Susan Heslington. The music moves through soul, Motown, folk, country, warm Americana, psychedelic pop, cinematic storytelling, instrumental music and, occasionally, somewhere beautifully unhinged. The connecting thread is human feeling.

Every release begins with an idea: a lyric, an emotion, a memory or a story. Susan leads the songwriting and creative direction. AI is one part of the process.

AiLF is home to a growing collection of virtual artists, each with their own identity and sound.

The artists are imagined. The feelings are not.

From songs that could pass for lost 1960s recordings to ones that sound like nothing else, AiLF is interested in music with character - the kind people come back to.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Susan Heslington is a British songwriter and creator with a background in photography, digital art and publishing. That background shapes AiLF’s visual identity as much as its music.

She founded AiLF after discovering that AI could help turn the music in her head into finished songs.

The numbers, at least, are very real: AiLF’s music has passed 430,000 streams, received 118+ radio plays and generated more than 1,300+ Shazams.

She now runs a record label full of artists who do not exist.

The artists are fictional. The admin isn’t.
